Re: 2010 xc60 idler shaft to alternator is loose
Paulii,
The 3.2 is a very reliable engine
And it is shared by Volvo and Land Rover.
Here is a Land Rover forum post that shows the bolt that can become loose
https://www.aulro.com/afvb/freelander-2 ... owner.html
This post from a different Land Rover board shows how to take off the manifold an expose the Alternator
https://www.freel2.com/forum/topic32245.html
While you are in there you should replace the Thermostat, small coolant hose and O-ring
This post has the part number for OAP (Overdrive Alternator Pulley) and a picture of the special tool need to replace it
https://www.freel2.com/forum/topic33867.html
Let me know if this answers your questions
Thanks
Paul
