2008 v70: seat swap from a 2016 xc70

Post by SDKC »

Hey all,
I’ve found and installed some mint 2016 XC70 front seats into my 2008 V70. Driver side install was plug and play. Unplugged the battery, installed and checked. Power functions, seat warmer works. Interesting is that the radio did not worn unless the seat belt was attached to the seat frame. No SRS error.

Passenger side is a different story. Unplugged the battery, both negative and positive. The original was a manual adjustment seat. The XC70 is power adjustable seat. The plug in was different and seat belt connector module was different. I swapped the plugs to match the 2008 seat. The seat is functional. All power adjustments work. Seat warmer works. Radio works. However, I’m getting an SRS issue. Anyone have experience with these swaps?
