Tapping/contact noise occurs when I apply throttle and hold the brakes in drive or reverse. Also occurs when accelerating from stand still.
Its a 2010 XC70 with 140K miles. Engine and transmission mounts have just been replaced this week. Idler pulley and tensioner replaced 20K miles and 4 years ago.
The crankshaft pulley, power steering pulley, and alternator pulley and AC clutch have never been replaced. Could it coming from any of those? Might try removing the serpentine belt and running the car briefly to see if that gets rid of the noise.

This is one where I would take it someone with diagnostic equipment so they can see what is going on while running. Engine does sound a little lumpy to me.
