The ECU took only a few seconds to realize the new injectors and airflow.

The R ECU will have to wait until next week.

That hose is the 5/8" heater hose that is substituting for the PCV line from the oil trap to the PTC nipple.
I ran it that way as to not kink it anywhere along the route.

You can see a black one of the same size in the before photo. The N/A manifold is slightly larger so I had to change the routing just a little.
I will keep an eye on it, but it would only be moving with the engine because it is connected to itself, so I don't believe it will even rub much, unless the top radiator hose puts pressure on it.

The top torque arm bushing mount is solid as well.

Thanks for pointing it out though.

I found a guy customizing spark plug covers on e-bay.

They look pretty interesting so I went ahead with one.

It was reasonably priced. I did add a heavy coat of oil and gas resistant engine clearcoat because it appeared to be paint and sticker only.
I think it's a creative graphic. I'll give it some time to grow on me.

It looks pretty good with all the other blue stuff. I can always change back.

Finally got back to the hood in the back yard today.
finished sanding, priming and clear coating the hood.

Also blacked out the grille. This is the third one now. The spare will go to the T-5R project as I will retire the sedans old hood and have an extra.

I finally fixed the power issue to the ECC unit after reading schematics, testing for continuity, swapping parts and inventing tools.

I chased it back to a damaged contact at the fuse box where the previous owner had learned about ground apparently.

There were a couple burnt spots at the fuse box, but the bad contact turned out to be on the side of the fuse that was not burnt. It seems it was just spread too wide and made intermittent connection.

I went in with some dentist tool type pokers and tightened up the contacts.

I am on to the accumulator canister which I knew would be some trouble. The quick release side was amazingly easy after reading some of the troubles that people have encountered.
The large coupling with the hose from the compressor is just as difficult as I've heard.

I am done with it for today, but plan to have everything done by tomorrow.

Used bolt cutters today to separate the dryer canister at the hex weld.

From there I used a large crescent wrench on the hose, and my 500 ft. lb. Bosch cordless torque wrench on the canister hex. Done.

Didn't take pictures. pretty boring.

4oz. of PAG 46 oil in the new accumulator, fill charge of 143a after 45 minute vacuum.

I imagine 1,200 miles or so to be put on in this coming week. If any leaks are still present in the refrigeration system, I am sure to find out.

The wagon did great on a recent mini tour of approximately 800 miles in two days.

Glad I was able to take care of the climate control power issue in order to be able to change out the accumulator/dryer and charge the air condition system.

Today I felt like getting something out of the way, which was the V70 roof molding. My roof trim was beginning to crack up and peel and I've been patching it with Gaff tape.

The V70 rails have a rain diverter track along the windshield so the water, washer fluid, snow or whatever, doesn't come inside the front windows if the happen to be opened at all.
They have been sitting around since last year.

I cleaned them up with alcohol and used the new Armor All trim restorer.

After a pleasant period of summer travel, I am enjoying the fruits of the labor. The wagon has become a useful and practical vehicle with regards to my summer travels. On the work clock as well as pleasure.

I have missed so many photo opportunities. This is not really the appropriate thread, so only a couple to indicate the work done. (Show it off a little)

So at the end of the season a heater hose failed luckily a half mile from home.
After the whole summer.
After the whole summer.
These and the turbo coolant return hose were the only ones I had not replaced.

Now taken care of both.
