FCP ended its sponsorship of MVS last week

Post by matthew1 »

They'd been a sponsor since 2008 without interruption.

I have no hard feelings and am grateful for the 17 years of support.
Help keep MVS on the web -> click sponsors' links here on MVS when you buy from them.

Also -> Amazon link
. Click that when you go to buy something on Amazon and MVS gets a cut!

That is a bummer for you Matt. This group definitely supports them well.

I wrote to them to say we’re concerned and we’re mostly DIY’ers and we have always strongly supported FCP.

To be fair , the tariff nonsense has probably brought terrific uncertainty to their business. Their business model is high inventory , and slapping a 10% tariff on stuff is probably most of their margin.

That's too bad, I buy most of my parts from them and Volvo of Toronto. I don't patronize IPD much anymore being that they don't have as much selection of Volvo brand parts as FCP.

Shame too as I just got a survey from FCP a couple of days before this was posted. It would have been a great opportunity to make the point. Shame.

It’s nice! We took it up a twisty canyon, a twisty bumpy road up a fishing stream, and out the freeway at 85. With the alignment it tracks straight and smooth, no vibrating CV joint, and a lot less clunks. And the the sway bar is interesting - it doesn’t roll.
