Volvo Blog #6: A New S60 is Born

Post by matthew1 »

See my S60 debut post.
A new S60 will see the light of dealers’ showrooms and our driveways in the fall. My take: cautious optimism. Caution because it’ll probably clock in at a higher price than today’s S60, which is $32,800 base. The T6 AWD — what they showed today — will undoubtedly be higher than today’s base. (“Pricing will be announced at a later date.”) Optimism because hey, it might be a really good car. We don’t know yet.

I love the sound of that engine. The newish BMW 128's have a niice inline 6 but inly cranking out 230hp...and fuel economy is not very good. I may just want to buy the engine...I think the last version of the previous s60's was gorgeous, this new one is a bit ugly to me. :-(
