Hey I have a 2000 S70 T5 that I have recently started to modify I put in an intake last week and I love the sound also I have a boost gauge and Heave duty turbo control (just waiting for abs module before I take it to the shop). Now I am looking into exhaust systems because i eventually want to get it chipped. So basically I am just looking to hear from you guys on which is the best sounding and performing exhaust.
Also if you have any suggestions on a chip please let me know.
Thanks a lot!
Looking for the best exhaust system

Sorry, I don't have a recommendation for you - I'm still using the stock exhaust on my T5. But this Volvo performance exhaust article by an old Brickboard member "Sin" may shed light on what you want to look for. It's mostly all theory so you know what questions to ask.

I believe the OBX exhaust system works in your car, and if so it's the best value for money especially considering how good of an exhaust it is. IIRC 3" turbo back, all stainless, plug and play system. Just get a good magna flow hiflow cat welded in and you're good to go, and for like $300 ebay.

Well volvo exhaust sounds varies from manufacturers of volvo parts, makes, and purpose, so its best to ask or hear a particular car with installed exhaust before you decide what you like.. remember dont settle on the sound that it makes, bear in mind also that it should serve its purpose.

IPD or RICA for your ECU flash
As for an exhaust, none will give you a ton of HP so it would be up to you what you go with.
A custom one may cost a bit less and give you more bang for your buck but IPD is having a sale on their new DP/Exhaust combo, cheap as hell (compared to what both used to cost).
Scott over at IPD said I may not like it as it's a hair loud (he knows what I like) but it sounds like it may be right up your alley.
Go their website;

Go to the S70 area and scan new products, I believe they have a sound clip of it too!

Beg to differ about HP gains from an exhaust system. You may get anywhere around 15-30hp, but the biggest advantage of the exhaust system is the loss of the backpressure.
The stock exhaust system is your biggest limiting factor for any gains. With a tune you'll easily be over what the stock exhaust system can support.

If you are looking for a good exhaust system and a tune for your car look at BSR Tuning http://en.bsr.se/
I have there exhaust and tune on my 2001 S60 2.4T, its louder then factory but not so loud it drives your friends out of town, keep in mind that I still have the factory downpipe. I know that your exhaust is different then mine due to the model but BSR usually keeps the noise to a peaceful state but yet sounds good. One of the US dealers is http://www.esetuning.com/
If they don't have it listed on there webstite call or email them as they can get anything from BSR Tuning, it just might take a week that's all. I hope this will help you.

i have an www.inmotionusa.com ECU 16T (your turbo) and an OBX turbo back. OBX turbo back can be had for just over $400. and inmotion ECU $300. with just the ecu turbo and exhaust I made 221whp and 288 wheel torque. and ran a 14.58 1/4 mile. basicly stock then. so for $700 you can get both or spend $1500 on all IPD or BSR stuff.

If money is no object
Go for ferrita,a complete system, widely regarded as one of the best.
Again not cheap, but you get what you pay for(3" downpipe with a kemira race cat and a coplete ss system.)
