Flashing check engine light after mods!

Post by RyanT5 » Thu Feb 28, 2013 7:01 pm

So a couple days ago my ARD green tune came in for my s70 t5. The tune hasnt made much of a difference thus far because i do not yet have the catless 3" exhaust it was programmed for, and my tcv is old as ****. Tonight i made a MBC and installed it. The car hasnt boosted over 14 or so psi, but at wide open throttle im getting a flashing engine light and the car stumbled. The car does need new wires and a rotor. Am i overboosting or is the ignition system just not in good enough shape to handle the amount of boost its now running? Its a blast to drive, just a bit worried :?

You need to be at stage zero, 100%. Zero fault of the tune.

Proper plugs, good wires, cap, rotor, vac lines and pcv.

Why are you putting an mbc in with a tune?

Iirc flashing check engine means missfire.
Get your codes checked.
Mine does it from time to time usually due to one of the plug wires coming up a bit.
