SOLD P80 Delta Link Tool (Used) $100 shipped

Post by E Showell »

I have an aftermarket P80 delta link tool. I used it 2x to do my '99 wagon which I will sell in the Fall. It's the last P80 in the fleet, so I can't see needing the tool again.

It looks just like the legit Volvo tool and was advertised as being stronger.

$100 shipped from 07853. $15 cheaper for local pickup/delivery. PayPal for long distance transactions.

You amortize the tool cost versus what you would pay an independent to do the job the first time you use it.

If you drill out some of the thermoplastic collar on the link and heat the delta arm with a plumbing torch to soften the plastic/rubber, it is a very manageable DIY repair with the tool.

Use a spray bottle to quench the heated delta arm.

When I did the delta link replacement, my local alignment shop said the car went from "impossible to attain spec alignment since rear too bad to be able to get front dialed in" to "perfect factory spec alignment," so the repair is worth doing.

$90 shipped, less for local pickup.
