This appears to be a common ignition switch workaround.
Car starts on command, without drama or smoke.
Seems Grandma had a bit of trouble with the parking garage at the Condo.
Drivers window doesn't raise home unless it's fiddled with, see 'Grandma', above.
Haven't been able to force the radio to work yet but the car has fallen down the list.
Everything else seems well-behaved.
$1500 in it so far, found another car I'd rather spend my time with.

I would rather not tackle the interior myself, although molded carpets in kinda the right colo(u)r are available and not too spendy.
Rumor has it early P80 front seats will work, unverified at this writing.
