Hy Guys,

I'm searching the trunk lock system for my 1995 Wagon, the same as the picture with linkage and white or black plastic studs. It's the second one i buy and it doesn't work. On one picture, you will see the part that has broken. Shipping to France.

For now, I've installed a one from a T_5 R from 1995, but the linkage are not good. The trunk closes normally but the actuator doesn't work.

While it is likely the units are bad as you say, have you made sure the wiring harness is good where it runs from the roof into the tailgate on the LH hinge? It is common at this age for wires to break in that harness.

Do you have a part number for the latch? 850 wagons' are getting rare in the junkyard these days. There was one 96 there last week but the whole tailgate was gone. Is the latch the standard one without an internal release handle?

Some websites show the latch as common for all P80 wagons. Although there is the remote lever variant. Also some markets have the 2 stage latch system (you turn the driver's door key once, it opens the driver's door only and then a second then it does the rest including the hatch. Same when using the fob.

Salut Neil,

I didn't check the wires for the moment, but for sure, as interior roof is out, it's time to do it. I'm sick at the moment; I will see that point soon as possible.
I confirm, 850 are very rares now...
