When I turn on the AC at full effect in my V40 (-99) I don't really think it's getting cold. Sometimes It's working quite good, but sometimes it seems like it's not working at all. The fan is always working but the air doesn't get cool.
When I get the AC to work, and if I suddenly turn it off, I can hear some scratching and rasping from somewhere around the engine.
Can anyone tell me what this problem is, and how to make the AC work properly again?
Thanks,
PN

Sounds like it needs an AC recharge. Call around to service shops and get prices then take it in.
Help keep MVS on the web -> click sponsors' links here on MVS when you buy from them.
Also -> Amazon link. Click that when you go to buy something on Amazon and MVS gets a cut!

Thanks for your answer Matthew! Do you think it's expensive? Is it normal that you have that kind of leak which means that you need to recharge?
