Alarm siren 2004 R

Post by MDK »

So I bought this car afew summers ago and it had the alarm service on the dash. Eventually the sunroof stopped working. I found a a British guy on YouTube who cracked one open... the hard way. I used a hacksaw.. took me about 5 minutes. The circuit board looks good so I guess it's the battery. I couldn't find anything on eBay that I thought would work so I'm here in Cincinnati and we have a store called batteries plus. I'm going to take it there and see if they can match it up. MDK

As oragex found you a battery source and your board did not get destroyed you are in good shape. The only thing I would add is to change out the no-tamper bolt with a standard 10mm of matching thread pitch. It will make assembly and any future repair much easier.

Thanks S H...I had this apart once before. Last year I took one off an XC 70 2005. Didn't work but I left the bracket on and only one bolt on the bottom... for easy removal. I've been thinking about this car and what to do with it. I was thinking maybe I should post it on MVS and sell it... but not sure. Anyway.thanks again fellas..MDK
