Body Shop Recommendation in Denver CO requested

Hi everyone,

My daughter got side swiped in her new 05' XC70 (Sylvie) last night on her way home from work. No fault of her own, she was just at the wrong place at the wrong time. It looks like this will be handled without any insurance involvement.

She is looking for a reputable shop. Do any of you have recommendations on where to go to get this fixed?

Hello Dirk. I used https://denverautobodyrepair.net five years ago for my VW and they did a good job. No further fixes were necessary besides one door hinge adjustment.

BTW sorry your daughter's XC70 got hit, that's too bad but yes very fixable.

I'm going to take a wild guess and say that photo was taken on Grant st and 3rd. It looks a lot like the community garden across from the old school house.

I don't know Denver at all, but I think the incident occured on Park Ave. going north. And they pulled into one of the angled side streets, Emerson maybe?

Dont forget to check accident reporting thresholdsand deadlines in CO.

Its $1000 in NY/ 10days and you can be suspended for not filing.

Thanks, she filed a police report right after the accident, so she should be fine.

Hard to tell, but with those marks it is hard to tell if there is actually any damage. Most looks like rubbing marks. Long shot but perhaps see if someone can try a cut and buff to see how bad it is first.

Thanks for the offer. The time frame might work out, but we don't know at this time when the car is actually going in for the repair.

Hi Neil, it's hard to tell from the photo I posted, but the door is actually dented right around the door handle area. That's where the main impact occurred. The door handle assembly is damaged to the point that the handle doesn't retract anymore and you can't open the car from the outside. This is most certainly going to a body shop, and the person who caused the accident agreed to pay.
