CCM gone crazy HELP

Post by darylrobert »

My CCM today decided it didnt want to play nice and i think its gone. Checked the thermister and its okay. It is playing havoc with the CanBus making other modules turn on and off. I have a spare but it needs to be programmed. This is my sticker (see pic) does the software have to match or come close??

I believe someone else had the same issue and managed to repair it by resoldering the can transceivers.

Also, I was briefly logged into your account for some reason: Image

Also on a side note, take a photo of your CCM sticker and DO NOT attempt to remove/transfer it because it simply falls apart.

Spoke to the Volvo Dealership and Service manager says that as long as the part number matches it "should" work. If not they may be "if available" be able to re-load vehicle software onto used CCM's. The CCM is no longer available to buy new. Cost will usually be an hour labour plus any extras.
