Faulty DDM Drivers Door module.
Fault: Intermittent low voltage output (@4volts)to window motor instead of 12v.
VIDA shows switch carbon pads are working okay, VIDA also intermittently cannot operate window, but shows button "activated"
Fault code DDM 0005 signal low or missing
Reflowed solder on output pins, no change.
Checked voltage output pins and confirm intmt low voltage.
Two 12volt input pins and ground check good. 12volts checked at door hinge connector all good
*Tested switch pad works with a carbon pill.
*Window motor swapped with a better sounding one, with scissor arms
*Regulators replaced and greased
*Window not binding when it does work, goes up and down smooth
*VIDA configuration completed with 6mm soft stop.
Could it be relay(A) or whatever that (B) thing is (looks like a voltage regulator??)
FIX that DDM instead of replace?..is it possible??

As per cn90, I'd check the wiring loom between the door and the A-pillar for damaged or broken wires.
Good luck and looking forward to hearing how you fix this challenge!
Neil.

Ive checked the connector at the hinge (not easy to get at). the voltages and communication at the DDM all check good, its just the voltage to the motor. Its defiantly a faulty DDM

If you can find a P2 Volvo of the same model year at a pick-and-pull junkyard, that is the lowest cost way to get a door module for testing. Check to verify the Volvo part number is identical and it should work. Spare modules with different part numbers/model years are a good source of spare parts but are likely to have incompatible software.
The other thing is to use a lot of electronic flux when reflowing solder. I used to try it without and the results were not much of an improvement compared to the same work with flux.

Ive found the unit plays up when the engine is running, maybe increase in voltage is messing with the overload feature?

I think i fixed it, **Hope** by changing the B12 feed wire that comes from the fusebox through to the door hinge connector.
There are two 12v wires to the DDM, B12 supplys power to everything in the Drivers door, the other 12v supply operates the other 3 doors. In my case the B12 wire tested good at 12v but must of had current issues under load. A weird sign of problem is if (drivers door electronics not working) gets worse when you start engine.
