This is correct, so long as you do not exceed the 1/4 turn limits when you go CCW. Once the belt is off, the crankshaft stays where it is or else (ouchDXC70 wrote:... 1/4 turn CW then CCW 1/4 turn again to the marks then the timing belt could be removed...

When you come to the step of tightening the belt, you would ONLY turn the crankshaft CW of course
