2004 Volvo S60 fuel pressure regulator

HI. New to this forum bit I will be asking for help. Have 2004 Volvo S60 2.5 T and have some problem with FUEL PRESSURE REGULATOR. My question is where is located ? I was looking on fuel rail but its not there. Thank you in advance

Do you have the gray 4 wire electrical sensor stuck in the end of the fuel rail?
(You should) With ECM controlled fuel pressure there is no regulator per se. The fuel pressure is controlled by ECM reading the fuel pressure via that sensor and controlling pump speed via a signal to a fuel pump control module back on forward right side of fuel tank (unless it go moved into spare tire well in a past repair). There is a fuel pressure regulator built into the fuel pump module cap. This is called a pressure ventilation valve by volvo and is there to limit max fuel pressure if the control system fails and ECM goes to default full current to pump.

On this same vehicle about half the time I have to pump the accelerator once before turning it over or it won't start when cold. Otherwise it runs great. I don't need to pump it while turning it over. I've run plenty of injector cleaner and still happens. Is this a fuel pressure or check valve problem?
