Question about coolant level

Post by oragex » Thu Jun 23, 2016 9:30 am

Not a Volvo, but just for my peace of mind. My dad's (he's away at the moment) new Hyundai has the coolant level below min. I've called the service and got this answer: 'It's normal since the car hasn't been driven for months, the coolant level goes down."

Is that true?

Could have burped some air from non-use but I would top it off and watch it.

The coolant was factory, the car has some 3000 miles on it. Could it be recently burping air?

Yeah, don't overthink it. Top off and monitor. If you don't see leaks, its probably fine.
