absacate is a wannabe with only a stable. Real Volvo owners have a full fleet. Of course, his stable mostly runs.

For the 2004 V70, V70R & XC70 only one blue: Nautic Blue Metallic (Code 417). Check it against the product ID plate.

In the last 2 days I drove my ‘05 XC70 from Newcastle to South Wales and back(~750mi round trip).
I’ll be very surprised if I don’t end up with a ticket for my return leg, I clocked myself at 110 on the way home.

Do what so many do nowadays.....set up a "Go Fund Me" page for the fine and insurance premium increase.
Then, if no ticket arrives keep the funds.

Oil + filter change, trannie D&F, P/S reservoir D&F.

110kilometers per hour is only 68+mph. 70mph is the speed limit here with some sections @65mph.

Yesterday low coolant warning came on 1/2 mile from home. I found the coolant level at bottom of resovoir and lower radiator hose clamp was loose. I must not have gotten it fully in place and tight back in June when I did water pump and other work. Very glad it did not blow off on the highway!
Today it helped move 7 bookcases (33 x 84 x 8 inches) in 3 trips across town. Tailgate and all windows were open.

Spent the weekend replacing the right rear hub on The Beast. Probably spent as much money accumulating the tools as it would have cost to have the local Volvo guy do it, but don't tell my wife! Much quieter now, but I think I hear the beginnings of the left side going, so maybe I'll get to amortize all that equipment. Changed the oil last month and replaced the missing splash guard. Hoping the pulsating brakes are just accumulated rust from it sitting in the driveway since February. Daughter is living with us while we ride out the pandemic (lots of elevated risk factors in this family)

Upgrading 2002 V70 X/C: Pulled off exhaust, turbo and broke off a heat shield bolt in the exhaust manifold. Found some minor leaks in the exhaust manifold, so it was not a total loss. Then I found a small leak in the cylinder head gasket; this is a minor inconvenience to repair at this point, as everything is disassembled. I guess I will port, polish and do a valve job too. Also got the angle gear out for a re-seal and spent quite a bit of time scraping off the first layer of accumulated dirt prior to pressure washing. Smoothed and polished the inside of the exhaust manifold just because...

Leave out that last exhaust stud until after you put in the water pipe gasket
