It does not blow air on any setting. I replaced the blower motor and resistor and it still does not work. I'm thinking it could be the Blower Motor Relay (SMP RY1026). I just bought the car a few weeks ago and don't have a manual yet.
Can anybody tell me where this relay is located?
Any other suggestions or common causes?
Could it be the heater/AC climate control module (the contoller below the radio)?
Thanks,
Darren

Does it work if you set the climate on manual - just press on one of the three buttons on the 'man' like shape

No it does not. I can spin the speed dial to any setting and it does not work. It also does not work in any of the 3 'man' like setting or any combination or 2-3.
Thanks,

I'd look into the fuses/relay, but even if it's a blown fuse , it might have a reason it blew such as a short somewhere in the wiring. Don't know the relay location.

Re: 2001 V70XC - Blower Motor Not Working
Follow-up.
The fuse is/was not blown. There is no relay for this model year.
Turns out the 'new resistor' I bought was defective. I ended up buying another new one after testing everything possible. Put a second new resistor in and boom, it's working.
I'd summarize the likely causes as:
1. Bad Fuse (30amp) position #26
2. Bad Resistor ~$30
3. Bad Blower ~$100
If those don't fix it, I'd look at the CCU (climate control unit). There are 2 parts that can go bad. The little mini-blower (temp sensor) mounted on back or the entire CCU.
Good Luck!
