T-IV is even thinner than Mobil.

I have trouble with that test. There may or may not be differences between these various 3309 spec fluids. But I refuse to form a conclusion on that. The fluid depth isn't the same between the little condiment cups (among other concerns).

In first video Mobil and Volvo have the same level, in second video Toyota and Volvo have the same level.

About a week since replaced the fluid. All gears except 3 are unnoticeable, cold or hot. 3 (mostly 2-3, sometimes 3-4) is erratic, it can shift smoothly one time and give a slight jolt another. I'll remove B4 servo cap and inspect what's inside. Pretty sure this behaviour is caused by B4 band/anchor/cover.

All the rest of transmission imperfections was totally cured by Volvo ATF. Plus the car pulls as equipped with a rocket booster :)

Ok, I've solved my 3 gear imperfection. I had a wastegate actuator shortened by 1 turn. Bought a tool from ARD, returned pressure back to stock 1.8 PSI. After 3 engine starts and maybe 20 miles transmission is fully cured, I drive a 12 years old car with 157k miles on the clock and a perfectly working original transmission.

Interesting Vtl. I know jim has warned people not to play with wastegate adjustment on late P80 and P2 cars, sounds like that's good advice

I had to back out 2.5 full turns to return to stock pressure sensitivity, while I did 1 turn only few years ago. Looks like wastegate gets tired over years and needs to be calibrated once in a while even if wastegate actuator was never touched.

Is that lengthening or shortening the rod?

Lengthening -> decrease wastegate activation pressure, shortening - increase.

I need to do that too. However...
I've been paying super close attention to mine I might also suggest the CBV operation starts becoming inconsistent with air temperature/heat soak conditions etc as they age. Some of this adjustment may be compensating for altered CBV properties. As with the wastegate actuator, operation is a combination of both spring/air pressure and the physical properties of the diaphragm itself.
