2004 Volvo S60 2.5T: Passenger side mirror went 'grey'

Hi all, recently my passenger side glass mirror went 'grey' in color. i am not able to view out of it. It is like when a light bulb burns out and it turns opaque and discolored. I am sure it went bad and need to replace. Don't know why it did that. I searched for a link to replace but can't find one. Are there any special considerations when replacing that side glass mirror?

Might have autodim, repair would be costly. I'd try remove the glass - don't know how-to - and place a regular glass instead. 2004 might be the same just go gently

Thanks oragex, I also wanted to ask; when side the side mirror went out, the lights underneath both side view mirrors that flash when you electronically lock the vehicle stopped flashing. Also, the trunk locking mechanism stopped working and the trunk does not lock. Are all these issues related to the right side view mirror going out?

I don't think they could be related. As for the flashing lights, did you mean the turn signals? These flash when the car is locked i.e. alarm is engaged. May be that the trunk lock is not engaging thus not allowing the alarm to engage. The trunk lock is quite known to fail and can be repaired -
