V70R spark plugs
Hi guys. I bought my 2005 V70R 6 speed this December and found that it pulled strong in all the gears except that it let off these little back fires in the first 3 gears if it wasn't warmed up enough. I read that it was a common thing with the B 5254 T4 engines but then I got 2 engine codes for a misfire on start up on #4 and #5. I picked up a couple of coils and 5 stock spark plugs that to my surprise, the engine had the SHORT NGK's !!! The car runs exceptionly smooth and has got noticebly more power now but I was wonderimg if having the short plugs did any kind of damage. Id really appreciate any feedback on this. Thanks.

Re: V70R spark plugs
Should be fine. Check seat and threads for damage and put the right plugs in .

Re: V70R spark plugs
Thanks for the info JD, good to hear that. I can't believe that the twit who sold me the car put the short plugs in. I'm impressed that plugs 1/4 " short still worked. I would have liked to be there if he had put the "R" plugs into a T5 engine when he started it. what a sound!
