After mounting the shaft I'll fill the Haldex until it drips out of the plug then extract 100ml as instructed by Vida.
Don't. Since you had the unit fully drained, fill it up, go for a ride, come back and check the level. You may need to top it up actually.
Thanks for tip VTL. I guess the VIDA instructions are only when extracting then filling via the plug.

After driving several miles I'll check the Haldex oil level and fill if necessary.

I'll also extract and re-fill the final drive GL-5 fluid. The previous owner didn't use a crush washer on the fill plug so it leaked out and was empty. I presume I saved the differential gears by finding this early enough. I'll check the extracted GL-5 fluid for any metal shavings.

Here's the OEM damper I had to cut in half to get the driveshaft removed.

There is very little clearance room between the damper and Haldex 3. If there was more space I might of been able to force it out with a crowbar using a bolt through the backside.

I cleaned up the Haldex 3 oil pump & filter housing and threw on a new seal.

After mounting the new damper I covered the inside with ball bearing grease.

This will make the driveshaft easier to remove if needed in the future.

Here is the driveshaft mounted into the new damper.

Here is the other end mounted in the bevel gear.

I threw new CV joints on both ends I got from Colorado Driveshafts. The boots are made of nice thick rubber on these joints.

Great work! So you had to rebuild both cv joint on the initial driveshaft. Bravo!

The rear CV joint no doubt because I cut the outer casing while cutting the damper. The front one I was able to force out but the thin boot was about to rip so decided to replace it also. When I removed that front CV joint the boot tore apart.

With assistance from VTL and yourself I was able to fully clean out the Haldex.

I've driven her ~300 miles since installing the new haldex oil, filter, damper and CV joints on the drivehshaft and the AWD is working fine. Took pictures yesterday while I had the exhaust removed. I threw on Bosal catback and an Eastern direct fit CAT yesterday.
