I test drove my '07 the morning after a cold snap which killed the battery.
They threw in a new Volvo battery and I felt good about that.
Now I suppose I know why.

Does anyone know if Volvo batteries are "smart"? That is to say, is there circuitry built into the thing?

No, they're just ordinary lead acid batteries of decent quality.

In Mexico, or so it would seem for the US market as mentioned above.

Or Germany if they are the actual originals that came with the car.

it is a Delco AGM battery
OK wait, is AGM ok to use in my car? I thought people were suggesting that it wouldn't charge right and wouldn't last that long.

I think people have said that, but if jimmy runs them I would go with the guy who actually fixes them by the 100s...
