I have done it in the meantime, wasnt so bad. The only thing hard about this job was the ball joint, which I specifically bought an impact hammer for.

With a piece of pipe I was able to "smash" the new ball joints in.

The Blizzaks are top winter tires but are known for wearing scary fast in warmer weather over 10C-15C (50F-60F). It also seems as they wear down they loose their grip well before the wear limit marks.

That Is good to know. I did switch back soon after. It was just a really weird winter here.

Yeah, from what I know the "Blizzak" part is only the top 50% of the tread, then they're just old fashioned snow tires with not much tread. But when newer, they're such good snow and ice tires.

Michelin X-ice XI3 are amazing winter tires which have a longer treadwear than most others. I think they are ranked #2 only second to Nokian Hakkapeliitta R2 which are some of the best snow and ice tires on the planet made by the Danish. I have owned blizzaks as well on 2 different vehicles in Alaska and they never disappointed me, one car was a 96 Cadillac Seville STS front wheel drive, the other was a 1993 Infiniti Q45 that I had restored and it was rear wheel drive 276 HP and it drove well with the blizzaks. I have a 98 Cadillac Seville STS i'm getting ready to finish restoring it has the Michelin I mentioned on it. Any one of these 3 will not let you down, if you want the most aggressive tire for ice, snow, slush get the Nokian's.

Excellent for all those months when BZN has snow...oh wait,,...that’s every month, isn’t it?

I got caught with the double tire need on the E83 this year, but with Covid travel so low, I left the snows on it all year. Ms Abscate only drives about 60 miles a week to office, so I put off new summer tires to 2020. Maybe 2021.

MSO! MSO!!

We have similar to Denver....freeze-thaw, freeze-thaw. 35/25 day/night. So more ice than packed snow.

I am guilty of having some older snow tires on and just running them all summer to use them up. Wiggly soft tires when it's warm, but...

As soon as I get to the rear caliper rebuild, brake shoes, pads and rotors of the Honda Odyssey I can get to the 03 S80 T6 parts ordered early Aug. The Honda did get Drv CV axle, 2 sway bar links and an oil change mid Aug but has been on the stands since.
