'04 XC 70 Lower Control Arm Bolts --Torque Specs.

Anybody have access to lower control arm bolt(front) torque specs for an '04 XC 70? Hope to do the job tomorrow. Thanks.

The write-up I read says these are one-time torque to yield fasteners that should be replaced with new. 65 Nm + 90 degrees for the front bolt and 105 Nm + 90 degrees for the rear bolt/nut.

Is it necessary to lift the engine out of the mount? Or is this the complicated factory technique?

I did this job with new fasteners. You don't need to lift the engine from the mounts or drop the subframe to access the front bolts, as the space is tight i did use an 15mm offset combination spanner it worked great but you won't be able to torque the fasteners to spec that way.

As I recall when I did this on my V70 (it was several years ago) I was able use to my floor jack and a block of wood under the oil pan and just lifted the engine a TINY bit - like whatever I thought the rubber motor mounts would allow - and that gave me enough room to get after the bolts.
