Be aware that too much modifier may glaze the friction plates and they start to slip.

Thanks for the post on "too much" lubegaurd VTL. I was wondering about that. Someone was talking about adding a little REDLINE after a full flush.

Yikes...I thought 1 bottle was, more or less, recommended or an 1 oz per liter of atf.

Mine started slipping slightly after about 4 oz into original 1161640 ATF, which I'm suspecting for having extra modifiers compared to other T-IV like ATFs.

Glazing is easy to fix: replace ATF, let HFM wear out. It is naturally wears out along with the friction material, and is replenished from ATF.

MDK...so after reading you all's post about the lube gaurd additive. And one man was saying even a 10 oz bottle may cause it to slip over time. Add to the fact that I just did a full flush on both my 2002 V-70 non turbo and my 2004 R car. I've decided to put 1/2 a bottle in one..half a bottle in the other. .. rolling on.
