In the process of replacing my radiator on my 04 XC70 I thought I should replace the radiator hoses as well as the turbo coolant lines while I was at it. I'm just stumped at how best to access the turbo coolant supply line. I've removed the air duct to the turbo and unbolted the 17mm bolt that connects the metal supply line to the turbo for easy access to the hose on one side, but the other side I have no idea what angle to access this from. What's worse is it currently has the crimp band type clamps on the hose, so cutting those when I can't even see what I'm looking at is kind of a nightmare.
Any suggestions for what I'm missing here? I've seen some people post about doing this all from the top, and this makes sense with the location of the hose, but I'm just stumped. I'm half tempted to just bolt it back and hope, but I'd rather do the job right.

Re: Turbo Coolant Supply Line
Ok well after posting this I went to take another look and was able to see it just behind another line. I was able to pull both out enough from the block to be able to cut the clamp and get this one removed.

Hey 999... I understand what you're doing. Replace radiator .. check. Replace radiator hoses.. check. If you're having a leak at the turbo.. then yeah. If you're not having a problem. Leave them be. I had an XC70 last year with over 250,000 miles.. didn't have a problem. Sending some pictures with your post would help... A little bit. MDK

Yeah in hindsight I wish I had just left the hose. I got it removed ok and the original was in pretty good shape still. I had read several posts recommending changing it with the rest and thought that was the best thing to do. Oh well, I got it done, and it should be easier getting the replacements back on when they come in tomorrow.

Re: Turbo Coolant Supply Line
As a followup for laughs on this one I got my shipment of hoses and radiator from iPd on Friday including this hose on the order, only it wasn't in the box. I really didn't feel like waiting another week for it and I don't have a volvo dealer near so I just put the old one back on and called it good.
