Immobilizer See Manual

Intermittently, sometimes, I will get this error "IMMOBILIZER SEE MANUAL"
and the car won't start. Where do I start trouble shooting.

I have both the OEM security system active and the third party remote starter
security system active also.

You get the problem with the Key, Remote Starter or both?

Actually the first time it happened was with the key.
Today I was going on an errand so I remote-started the car. The remote starter fob was giving me errors so I came out to find out the car did not start. I unlocked the car, went in and and tried the key which was when the warming Immobilizer See Manual showed on the dash. I tried starting the car a few times, the alarm came on and I stopped it and tried starting the car, it started.

It could be the immobilizer antenna ring getting flaky. Common problem. It is the part that goes around the key hole.
