Re: Clunk when cold engaging drive
Oragex has the video that I followed, it’s about a 10 hour job if you’re taking your time. First make sure all your engine mounts are new to rule that out and the transmission torque mount and bottom mount . Transgo kit is about$ 125 and includes some bore cleaning bits for the linear solenoids of which there are 3. It made my transmission shift like new. Honestly my main complaint was the shift into drive and reverse from park and a shift flare from 3-4 and it cleaned that up. It’s doable, I can send you the link to his video, mostly it’s a tutorial on removing the valve body, once that’s out it’s a couple hours for the valve body rebuild and then reassembly. The Transgo instructions are very good!

I would also add that temperature shouldn’t influence the behaviour of your transmission, it gets -40 here and my transmission does not clunk into gear anymore since the shift kit even in the cold. Order the B-4 servo upgrade also and enough fluid for a change at the same time. Feel free to reach out if you need help or advise.
