Oil Pan to Oil Cooler Seal Replacement
2008 Volvo S60 2.5T FWD. I have some slight oil seepage from the 2 seals that are between the oil cooler and the oil pan on the backside of the engine. Does anyone know if you can simply, during an oil change, remove the 4 mount bolt to the oil pan for the oil cooler and slide back the cooler enough to replace the seals without removing the 2 coolant lines from the cooler. Thank you for anyone's help on this one.

I have done it in that manner without issue on Volvos a few times - not your exact year/vehicle. Regardless the car is in the air, the oil is drained, you have the parts so give it a go. There was plenty of play in the lines to remove, clean and replace.

You don’t even need to drain the oil. The cooler connects to internal oil lines in the sump and won’t drain the sumo when removed. You will lose 250-500 ml oil or so, estimated

I can also confirm yes you can, ive done it recently. Your meant to use some grease on the seals, i used rubber grease and this also helps to keep them in place for assembly. do not go crazy tightening of those allen bolts.
