Steering wheel swap 2005 to 2003
Does anyone know if there's any reason why I couldn't swap a 2005 wood wheel onto my 2003 car? I found a real mint one in the boneyard and would like to have it on my car. Thanks.

Is that the thicker one ? Volvo put real nice steering wheels from around 2005-6 up, similar to ones in the R cars
As for the swap, I know the buttons have different connectors - and stalks cannot be swapped - which only hypothetically makes me think there is place for potential incompatibility. But it's only a guess

Ive heard people wanting to swap their wood wheels for the leather. Will you be swapping the airbag also? I think the buttons would be the biggest issue/pain.

Yeah, I've got the leather one currently. I'd like to have the thicker wood (fake wood) one but don't know if its compatible. It might be too much trouble to change with the airbags just for aesthetics by the sounds of it.

The wood trim is very nice looking, however there is a downside to it, it gets very cold in winter days unless using gloves. It may also be slippery and the feel of 'hard' surface may not be for everyone.
