Cold Start problems

The temperatures have been hitting below the zero celsius and -15 in ontario now and I'm having isssues starting a 2000 s70.

Battery are starter seem fine as the engine cranks well but it just doesn't start. Spark plugs are fairly new.

Does a fuel pump become weakened in cold weather ?

I'm wondering if my pump is failing in the cold weather. I can't think of anything else that could potentially fail during a cold start as opposed to a warm start.

Generally the pump itself doesn't care about the weather but it seems the fuel pump relays get flaky. There has been a real rash of pump relay failures in the last couple of weeks as things finally got cold.

Hey Lee, wasn't that issue specific to the 850's ?

Most of them have been on 850's but a 2000 S 70 has the same relay (103) in the same place as an 850.
