This is the Alfa Romeo T33/3, which is a 3-liter V8 with 420 hp. Interesting how different this sound is at 3 liters compared to an American V8 of 5 liters, or 7 liters. Higher pitched, but still that V8 snarl.

How about a BRM V-16 F1 engine from the 50s?

wait...is that sound a big block V8 with straight pipes? A big straight 8 racing engine? No, it's only 1.5 liters with a supercharger and when wound up it sounds like a screaming poltergeist!
