I have to go back and search for the correct size, but I use a standard silicone hose from Amazon for these. Volvo part is too expensive and prone to failure. Just give it a nice amount of slack and it will bend just fine.

Do you use fluoro-Silcone hose? Standard Silcone is porous, might be ok for vapour, but I am not sure where liquid fuel ends up in the AWD system.

Do the rear diff oil while you have it down. It likely has never been done before, or hasn't been done often.

In order to learn how to fix something, you must first learn how to break it.

Rear diff and angle gear are on the schedule, while standing tall. Someone left me a Mitivac present in my garage, imagine that.

Henceforth this 31 day of March shall be known as

Saint Ekaterina Day

The day she was resurrected and rolled her own again.

3 more hours, but she lives!

I had to skip some stuff but cracked the diff and angle gear drains ( hex 12 ) in the lift so I can evacuate them easily in ground

The USAF supported us by air dropping needed parts from FCP

Excellent work by you and your helper! Smart move loosening the dreaded drains while you had better access. At least you have a vacuum tool to suck the oil out of the rear diff and angle gear.

Great to hear Ekaterina is back up and running under her own steam. What else needs to be done to make roadworthy?

Good luck with the remainder, and boy am I jealous of your delivery system for parts. You must have friends in high places!!

Neil.

Great news that it's back on it's hands and feet, but about that parts delivery thing...
In what I suspect was a bar-bet gone bad, back in '63 a C-130 landed on the USS Forrestal.

People think there is an intense rivalry in the Forces, but in fact the Air Force and. navy have this in common....they both want to be in the Navy.....

The aircrew in this instant case were Marines, but to your point, we would always tell Marines that at the top of their paycheck was the phrase "United States Navy" - right before the barfight broke out.
