Nothing between MY05-09 as far as I can find for the S60/V70/XC70.
They seem to be readily available for -04 and the P3s with a 'coverage gap' for later P2 sedans.

Does anyone know the pre-facelift (let's say 2004 S60) HL assembly with GLASS will fit into a 2007 S60 with plastic?

From looking at it, the 2004 S60 GLASS HL assembly will physically fit but the electrical connector is an issue.
The 2004 S60 GLASS HL assembly does NOT have this plug.

- What is this round plug in the photo?
- Is it possible to "downgrade" the 2007 S60 to HL assembly with glass that came from 2004 S60?

Which headlight assembly do you have for the later type? The 05-07 XC70 for example has 2 different headlights. What I would call a standard one, and then the xenon type with the motor to move the lens. That might be what you are looking at.

In the 2007 S60, I have the Xenon, but plastic lens.

I guess I can swap the 2004 S60 Glass-type into the 2007 S60 and just ignore the round connector.

Worth a try. However, you may find it throws a code and may need a program change at the dealer.

The plastic lenses are available for replacement in Europe:

https://vparts.se/de/volvo-xc70/xc70-00 ... tglas.html

There is a video of the replacement process, which involves dremel work and a heat gun. 185 Euros for a pair. Unfortunately they don't ship to North America.

So...

The 2004 S60 glass HL assembly physically fits in the 2007 S60 but the round connector is different.
So it is a no go for the 2007 S60.

From my little research, the only way to get glass in 2007 S60 is to buy the HL assembly from same year but S60R model...

Actually there is a little more availability than just an 07 S60R. It's several years 04-07, and both models S60R or V70R - they all have the same glass headlights.

So...I am polishing the plastic lens of my 2007 S60.
I have done this polishing jobs in different cars over the years.

My quesrtion for the gurus...
- Once the polishing is done, is there any film protector (such as Lamin-X mentioned above by @vtl) that helps keep the plastic clear for a long time?
