It was back when people didn't know any better. Then they drove one! It's so perfectly balanced. Everything is nice and tight and you have total control, totally different from any other car I've driven. Plus the engines are pretty much boost-ready from the factory, so that's cool.
I too thought it was a girl's car a long time ago, then I realized why people loved them so much. At 6'2", I can barely fit in it, but it's just big enough! I basically just wanted it to say I've had one.

Re-enacted the Volvo commercial - dropped Mom off at Airport at 0945 for an 1100 flight in the NA - better half then used the T5 to bring her bag and passport to airport for 1015 and just made luggage cutoff

She passed many R's along the way, but no S80s.

Yeah, the context is necessary in that post...

Even a Miata can't do that!

Somehow neither Miata on my driveway has any rattles (aside from an exhaust heat shield on the NA). But they're certainly fun! The NB is awesome. Definitely the best handling car I've ever driven.

I've never been a convertible guy... in fact I've always hated them... but like Richard Hammond once said, the best convertibles are the ones that were designed from scratch as a convertible (or something like that). Not some Audi A4 they shortened and chopped the roof off of.

Stuck circuit breakers in slots 38 39 and 40, as they were missing. I couldn't find out what they were for, in my cheap repair manual or on google. Just bought this 98 v70. Hopefully can keep it if I can get it to pass smog. Circuit breakers didn't fix my secondary air problem, but now I know why the power seat didn't work. So some progress in the right direction.

On the Volvo side of things: finally put the T5M together after a long timing belt job, changed oil and filter (as usual I overfilled, then drained some on the garage floor, cleaned up the mess, still had too much oil in there), took it for a test drive anyways. And after some close to redline pulls the lifter tick it had after sitting for a month was gone :-)

My cousin, who has owned something like 13 Miatas, asked me my plans with it. I told him that's a good question... been wondering that myself. He told me I better make up my mind because if I drive it more than twice because I'll want to keep it!
