I'm having some transmission issues with my XC90. I don't know exactly how to describe it. It is driving but is not shifting well and seems to be slipping. This came on rather suddenly. I'm debating what course of action to take. Flush and replace the fluid. Do a rebuild, or replace with a used one from a salvage yard.
I'm also having trouble determining if an Aisin TF-80SC is the same regardless of what vehicle it was in. The TF-80SC was used in many cars in the Volvo, Mazda, Ford and a few others, but in my searches some other TF-80 transmission fitment guides say that some do not fit.
It also shows that one from a T5 does not swap with a 3.2. I'm wondering if this is just an oversight or lazy research on the author of the cross reference.
The above also goes for Torque converters. If I'm going to do a rebuild, I want to change the TC while I've got it apart.
Thanks in advance for your help.
