I have the dash indicator telling me "bulb failure low beam." I have the bi-xenon lamps so neither the high or low headlights are coming on at all. Both the driver and passenger side headlights went out at the same time. I've checked the bulbs, both are fine. I checked the fuses, fuses are fine but there isn't any power getting to both the low beam and high beam locators... I checked the battery and it's charging fine...My repair guy thinks it might be the light modules, but I question this because they both went out at the exact same time, that's a rather random occurrence that both modules need replacing at the same time...
No headlights
Bi Xenon Bulbs are fine
Fuses are fine
No power getting to fuses but other fuse locations are fine
I dont have an owners manual here to look at, but it sounds like your problem is in the CEM. There is a shunt that burns out in the CEM (central electronic module), and there may also be a relay that has failed. Check your owners manual for multiple fuses, there also might be two that could have blown.
I would continue to look deeper in the car before opening up the headlight and checking the ballasts. This might be above your repair guys ability to diagnose correctly, unless he is very familiar with these cars.
Was a resolve ever found with this? I know this is old, but I am having the same issue. I checked all fuses in the cabin and under the hood. I checked the shunt connector and CEM and all looks brand new. I have been searching for a week for a fix. I hope someone found the fix by now and can share it.
I am having the same problem. Both lights went out simultaneously so only have fog lights and parking lights. One mechanic ruled out a relay issue and said he would be surprised if it was the 'computer'. Fuses are fine. Has anyone found a fix for this?
tTt . I have non xenon headlights and I was driving on vacation. I stopped to refuel when I restarted both low beams were out and was getting right side low beam failure. I shut car off and restarted again now drivers light is on and passenger side is still out and it has been 2 weeks still no low beam on passenger side. I have checked and tested the fuse which is good . I have tested connector on the back of light no power to low beam and the connector is in good condition.
Anyone ever find a cause and solution for this? I am currently having the same issue. Fuses and relay all seem fine. New bulbs...no luck. Still no lights.
