do you get any spark, either from coil wire and or plugs ?

it might sound stupid but any power in the battery ? are your battery contacts clean and tight ?

as Lee had mentionned , you need power (elctricity) compression spark and fuel delivery to start the car...

lets recap ...new pump so constant fuel pressure, are the injectors working ?
any spark ?

best of luck..

Ok, after taking a brief hiatus from all of this, I have decided to continue and persevere with my efforts to get this swedish heap going. The good thing is that the more I work on it, the better I understand and respect it for what it is designed to do. I ave removed the idle air control valve ( IAC ) and cleaned it up by emmersing it in brakleen for a few minutes to loosen up all that carbon and gunk deposits and it now moves freely from end to end with a nice metallic clicking sound. A very satisfying and encouraging sound. I also took out the ignition coil connection and cleaned it up as well. Unfortunately my battery was dead so today I am going to attempt another start up after charging the battery back up. Fingers crossed and hope it all happens. I did attempt a start earlier and heard a series of clicks coming from the ignition coil and the IAC was buzzing as it should be. Encouraging sounds.....

Still nothing from all that. I think I'm gonna just get rid of it. Anyone interested in this car, I'm taking offers. It will have to be towed away.
