Hi,
I've got a couple of questions which really isn't problems.
I own a '92 440DL 1.8 (B18U engine) with has no electrical luxuries like power-steering, central-locking, electrical windows or tacho. Now I can live without these luxuries, but it would be nice to have the tacho (in stead of a clock), central-locking and electrical windows (listed in prioritiesed order).
With regards to the tacho, I can been looking into the wiring diagrams in my Haynes manual, and it seems that there shouldn't be to many problems converting my current instrument cluster with a tacho from a scrapped car. Or is there???
Has anyone implemented the central-locking and/or electrical windows with success?

I don't know about fitting it, but everything you need is on ebay at the moment, switches, window racks and motors, and even left and right 'leccy mirrors.
Looks expensive to do though, IMO, the cost and work involved would be better avoided by buying a new car entirly, there's one the same as yours on ebay now!
