Fuel smell and code P0442

Could anyone help me out with this one:

I got a 2000 Volvo S70GLT with 170K miles on it. Recently CEL Code P0442 came on. Car runs fine but is a bit difficult to start after standing a few days. There is also a fuel smell in the garage... Suggestions what to check?

Check the lines from the gas tank to the charcoal cannister and the lines from the charcoal cannister to the purge valve.

P0442 is a leak in the Evap system.
