Can you adjust the ignition timing at all? If so how? and where are the marks on the car to check its present settings? cheers

Welcome to Matthew's Volvo Site.

The timing is controlled by the ECM and is not adjustable.

The timing marks are on the flywheel cover as shown in the attached:
