Interesting topic.
I just bought on eBay this trip computer:
http://cgi.ebay.com/ebaymotors/ws/eBayI ... MEWAX%3AIT
and the seller assured me it only needs to be swapped with the digital clock on my cluster.
I hope it will work though.
What does this plug go to? Attached to the back of a blank

LOL... can't trust eBay sellers. I hope it works. If I could see the back of your cluster I could tell you for sure. Just that piece would not have worked with my cluster. I needed the entire cluster.

Well, it is easy to fix crooks on eBay.
We have insurance for almost everything we buy there.
I can't show you now a pic of the back of my cluster because it is not taken off the dash board, but I have the same one that I bought second hand and could take a pic of it and post it here.

Post the pic. I think I'll be able to give you the steps you need to put in the info center.

I believe that will work. The existing green plug will fit into the new info display. On the back of the new display there is an additional green plug recepticle; you'll need to feel around behind your existing instrument cluster to see if that orphaned plug exists. In my '94 it did not (nor did I have an orphaned switch receiver behind a blank).
