850 1997 Radio EEEE

Post by Hnat »

Last year I installed a Blitzsafe iPhone adapter to the SC815. It activated when I pressed the CD changer button(CD changer removed) It worked flawlessly until the other day. Now when I press the cd changer button, I get an EEEE mssg and the radio continues to play uninterrupted. I've disconnected the power source and reconnected and then input the code and still get the same EEEE. It still charges the phone however. It also displays EEEE when I reconnect the wire for the old changer(disconnected on the other end) All other wire connections seem ok.
Any advice?

You still have the Blitzsafe connected? If so, check the fuse in the line to it- the EEEE shows up if the radio thinks nothing is connected to it.
