Breather Hoses

Post by genwheeler »

Hi
I have a 2004 V70 and I noticed today that one of the little hoses that runs off the air breather wasn't connected to anything. The one that is connected (I hope) runs back under the breather box toward the front of the car. Couldn't see where it ended. The disconnected one looked like it was running toward the firewall but I couldn't find anywhere it might connect to.

Thanks

Post a picture, not 100% sure what you're talking about. There's a number of hoses that run to the air intake that goes into the turbo and more likely then not it is one of these.

Thanks for the reply. Mines doesn't have the turbo. Here are some pictures--

The hose running out between the breather and the fuse block but it isn't connected to anything.

This is where it is connected to the breather (right between the breather and fuse block). It's the hose on the left that isn't connected to anything.

Thanks for the info and picture! The hose came out of the rubber boot at some point. That's why I couldn't find it. The boot was still hooked to the port and I was looking for something much smaller to plug that hose into.
