V70 2 ltr 10 v Not restarting when hot

Runs well from cold but refuses to start when hot. Replaced fuel pump relay, engine temperature senor still the same - will not restart. Checked for spark - no spark - could it be the coil?
Engine spins well before stopping abruply ( ecu telling it there is a problem perhaps??)
Can anyone suggest what to do - am really getting depressed about it

Sounds like your RMP (CPS) sensor is on it's way out.

thanks for getting back, but what is that sensor and what does it do - by the way no codes came up when we tried to read them

Cam position sensor- sits right over the rear camshaft seal..., easy out with a screw driver. I have a spare CPS if you need one.
