'94 850W: Swapping Engines, Swapping Seats

Post by shagginwaggin »

Do '94-'96 960 seats bolt up and plug up to early 850? I have a '94 which has powered memory on the driver's side, manual passenger seat. I'd love to pilfer a couple of heated powered seats and plug-and-play.

Has anyone tried a NA to turbo swap? My non-turbo with 275k has a little bit of valve noise and eats a little bit of oil so I'm shopping around. I have a 5 speed. What's needed? I see a local 90k B5234FT turbo engine from a '95 for $750.

Swapping the turbo engine into an N/A is a waste of time.

The seats will work just fine, If the new seats are from a '95+ turbo or a '96+ anything be sure to use the orange safety while you move them to prevent the SIPS from deploying.

So it sounds like I should either just rebuild the top end of my existing or find a low mileage NA donor.
